Int'l community continues endeavor to resolve Ukraine's crisis
1/12/2004 10:50

Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, and EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana, are heading to Ukraine for a second time to try to resolve the political crisis, China Radio International reported Wednesday.

At the same time, the US State Department welcomed the proposal by incumbent Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma to launch a new vote, China Radio International reported Wednesday.

The move came after opposition party suporters invaded the Ukrainian parliament, demanding a ballot reversal.

Russia, France and the United States have called for a peaceful resolution to end the Ukraine's political crisis caused by the disputed presidential election.
