Preparations for Sunday's Palestinian elections are well underway. EU
election observers are also positioned to cover the entire process and ensure a
fair and smooth vote.
Over 800 international election observers and 20,000 local ones will cover
the polling process in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem.
Most think the election will take place without a hitch.
Michel Rocard, the former French Prime Minister and now head of the EU
Election Observer Mission, says their observation of the election process is
extremely important.
He says Palestinian institutions are weak, and the stamp of international
legitimacy is very important to this election.
