4/11/2005 14:54

Olympic 10,000m champion Xin Huina won the women's 5,000m run at the East Asian Games on Friday.
The 21-year-old Xing clocked 16:04.56 for the gold, followed by Hiromi Ominami in 16:10.77 and Baei Hae-jin in 16:35.36.
In last month's Chinese National Games Xing hit a 5,000-10,000m golden double but was stripped of her 1,500m gold for elbowing second-placed Liu Qing in the final meters.
Chinese Feng Yun earlier won the women's 100m hurdles, beating runner-up teammate Su Yiping by 0.35 seconds and Kumiko Ikeda by a further 0.01.
The athletics competition is to end Friday afternoon.
