The US Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush has won in the crucial state of Virginia,which is a traditional Republican stronghold with 13 electoral votes, CNN reported Tuesday, citing exit polls.
Virginia has not backed a Democratic presidential candidate in 40 years.
Earlier, US TV networks said it was too close to call in Virginia in the US White House race.
