Incumbent US Republican President George W. Bush has won the swing state of Colorado with 9 electoral votes, according to projections by US TV networks NBC and CBS.

Bush has now won a total of 246 electoral votes, only 24 short of the 270 electoral votes needed for retaining the presidency. Democratic candidate John Kerry has won a total of 195 electoral votes.
