Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's brain is working partially due to hemorrhaging, and all his organs except for heart and lungs are not functioning well, Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters after meeting with caretaker leader Mahmoud Abbas, Shaath said that Arafat's liver and kidneys were not functioning well, and Arafat had partial brain function due to hemorrhage.
Shaath said that he would fly to Cairo late Wednesday.
Arafat is in a deep coma at a French military hospital. His funeral service is to be held in Cairo over the weekend if he passes away.
