Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's wife Suha Arafat and former Palestinian
Minister of Interior Security Mohammed Dahlan will accompany Arafat to France
for treatment, Palestinian official sources told Xinhua Thursday.
Sources closed to Dahlan said the young powerful man in Gaza met Arafat for a
short while earlier in the day.
Dahlan said "Arafat's health became stable tonight and better than before."
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Abbas, secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation
Organization (PLO)'s executive committee, Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei and chief
of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Rawhi Fatouh had several meetings
with members of the Fatah central committee and PLO's executive committee over
Arafat's illness.
Arafat, who has taken ill for the past two weeks, would be airlifted to Paris
via the Jordanian capital Amman for treatment early Friday.
