2,000 dead in Andaman rocked by fresh aftershocks

Nearly 2,000 people were confirmed dead Monday in Andaman and Nicobar
islands which were ravaged by the killer tsunami triggered by a massive
earthquake off the cost of Indonesia, an official said.
Powerful aftershocks measuring six on the richter scale rocked the islands in
the bay of Bengal Monday at around 6.20 am.
The situation is very grim and the toll is likely to rise, he said.
