Starting today, Shanghai residents seeking to help relief efforts in the
tsunami-hit countries can donate funds at stands set up by the Shanghai Red
Cross in main shopping areas downtown.
Local residents have donated 436,000
yuan (US$52,530) since the Red Cross released hot line and bank account numbers
over the weekend.
