Staff employed by the Chinese Central Government in Macao are actively
donating money to victims of tsunami-devastated countries through the Macao Red
Cross.
Officials in the Red Cross say they have raised nearly 900
thousand U.S. dollars from the local governmental institutions, organizations
and residents.
Some of the money has been sent to the International Federation of Red Cross
and Red Crescent Societies.
The Macao Red Cross will send more money and appoint personnel to join the
relief work in the tsunami-hit countries around the India Ocean.
