The Chinese government has made new cash donations to Malaysia in an
effort to support the recovery of tsunami-devastated areas.
Chinese Ambassador Wang Chungui transferred a cheque of 200 thousand US
dollars to Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid on Tuesday, and hoped Malaysia
would conquer the disaster and return to the normal order of life at an early
date.
Hamid expressed his thanks for the Chinese aid.
Last week, the Red Cross Society of China donated 20 thousand US dollars to
Malaysian Red Crescent Society. The Chinese embassy in Malaysia also made a 20
thousand-dollar donation to the country.
