Germany, S.Korea and Saudi Arabia increase aids to Tsunami-hit nations

Germany is planning to increase its aids to tsunami-hit countries from 20 million euros to 500 million euros or 670 million US dollars. S.Korea and Saudi Arabia also increase their aids.

German Government will hold a special meeting on Wednesday to approve the increased aids. Once approved, Germany will offer the largest quantity of aids to tsunami-hit countries, surpassing Japan and the United States.

In another development, South Korea has decided to increase its aids by 45 million US dollars, making its aids total 50 million US dollars.

Saudi Arabia also announced that it will add 20 million US dollars more aids to the disaster-hit countries, a total of 30 million US dollars.
