Turkey and Switzerland have expressed condolences in different forms to the
victims killed by the tsunamis triggered by massive earthquakes in south and
southeast Asian countries.
Flags flew at half-staff in both countries. The Swiss government also decided
to make Wednesday a Day of Mourning for tsunami victims.
Meanwhile, most EU member countries halted all public activities Wednesday
and held three minutes of silence in tribute to the victims.
So far, 150 thousand people have reportedly died from the tsunami disaster.
