Chinese delegation visits tsunami-hit countries

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan says the Chinese delegation is continuing its visit to the Tsunami-hit countries in South and Southeast Asia.

He says that the Chinese delegation is extending condolences to these devastated countries and is also finding out what the local people really need after the disaster so as to provide adequate aid for them.

The delegation also visited the rescue teams working in the disaster-hit regions.

Headed by Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei, the delegation arrived in Banda Aceh, Indonesia last weekend and is now ready to fly to Phuket in Thailand after visit to Indonesia, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
