The third batch of Chinese relief aid to the tsunami-stricken Sri Lanka
arrived here late on Saturday.
The aid items cover 770 sets of gasoline generators, a huge package of food
and medicine, according to "the list of emergency relief goods" being attached
to the goods.
Sources from the Chinese embassy told Xinhua at the airport that the relief
goods will be handed over to Sri Lanka's Ministry of Welfare and then delivered
to the affected areas.
The Chinese government has sent to Sri Lanka the first package of aid items
on Dec. 29 last year and the second on Jan. 4.
