22 Japanese tourists feard dead in tsunami

A total of 22 people suspected to be Japanese were killed in the tsunami
on Sunday, the Sri Lankan prime minister's office said Monday.
"We believe we have found the bodies of 22 Japanese tourists who were
stranded in Yala national park in southeast Sri Lanka." said Lalith Weeratunga,
secretary to Sri Lanka's prime minister.
Many tourist hotels in the southeast area suffered damage and tourists are
believed to be among the casualties, the official sources said.
