The Mexican Foreign Ministry reported Wednesday the death of a second
Mexican in the Asian tsunami, saying the body of the victim was found at Krabi
in Thailand.
The remains of Jacobo Hassan will be returned to Mexico as requested by his
family, said the Foreign Ministry in a communique.
An eight-year-old Mexican boy was confirmed dead in Sri Lanka, the ministry
said Monday.
Hassan, who was in Thailand in a honeymoon with his wife Karen Michan, was
reported missing since the quake and tsunami on Dec. 26.
The identification of Hassan was made with the support of forensic teams
operating in southern Thailand, said the ministry.
Three Mexicans are still missing, it said.
