The death toll from the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Indian Ocean
nations has passed 168-thousand.
Indonesia was hardest-hit by the December 26 disaster, with over 115-thousand
confirmed deaths and another 12-thousand people missing as of Sunday.
Thailand's tsunami death toll exceeded to 5,300, among of which more than
2,100 were believed to be foreigners.
30,920 died in Sri Lanka with more than 6,000 reported missing.
In neighbouring India, the official death toll remains at 10,000 with 5,700
still missing and feared dead.
Fatalities also occurred on the east coast of Africa where 298 people were
declared dead in Somalia, 10 in Tanzania and one in Kenya.
