A car bomb exploded near a power station in southern Baghdad on Friday,
killing at least six policemen, police source said. The blast took place at a
police checkpoint outside the Doura power station in southern Baghdad, when a
suicide bomber tried to ram his explosive-laden vehicle to the power station,
killing at least six policemen and wounding four others, including two

derail Sunday's national elections.
