One US citizen, apparently taken hostage in Iraq, has pleaded for his life,
according to a video tape released on Tuesday.
The man identifying himself as Roy Hallams said, "I have been arrested by a
resistance group in Iraq. I am asking for help because my life is in danger
because it's been proved that I work for American forces."
But the authenticity of the video has to be verified.
On the video, the man asked for help from Arab leaders instead of US
President George W. Bush. But he fell short of saying when or where he was
captured.
Violence has been mounting in Iraq as the Jan. 30 elections draw
near.
