16/3/2005 11:23

The United Nations team investigating the killing of former Lebanese premier Rafik Hariri in a bomb blast one month ago has completed its probe.

Head of the UN team, Ireland's deputy police commissioner Peter Fitzgerald, informed Lebanese President Emile Lahoud that he would leave Beirut on Wednesday and travel to New York, where he would submit his report to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud voiced his appreciation for the UN team's work and noted his government will continuously support the investigation and will punish the perpetrators and those who ordered the attack.
