France condemned on Sunday a new bombing on Saturday in a largely Christian
neighborhood of Beirut and reiterated its call for stability in this country.
France condemns the new attack that happened yesterday (Saturday) in Lebanon,
extends its condolences to families of the victims, and reiterates its call for
Lebanon's stability, said a statement signed by French Foreign Ministry's
spokesman Jean-Baptiste Battei.
It was the third bombing in eight days, leaving two dead. The attack
reinforced calls of the opposition to end the security services put up by Syria
by kicking out Lebanese chief officers.
Lebanon has been paralyzed by a political crisis since the murdering of the
former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri on Feb. 14 in an attack in Beirut.
