Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said in Beijing yesterday that China hopes the situation in Kyrgyzstan will become stable as soon as possible.
China has paid close attention to the developments in its Central Asian neighbor and wishes for a speedy restoration of the social order, Liu said.
Also yesterday, Zhang Deguang, head of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, said political stability in Kyrgyzstan is vitally important to the entire region represented by the organization's six-member nations.
