A great earthquake at 23:15 local time Monday night near the Sumatra Island
measured 8.2 at the Richter scale, local Metro TV reported here Tuesday.
The epicenter was found at 97.01 East Longitude and 2.09 North Latitude, it
added.
The earthquake could also be felt in Singapore and Malaysia, according to
officials from the Indonesian Geographical and Meteorological
Agency.
