Some parts of Singapore reported earth tremors at about 00:15 a.m. on
Tuesday, according to Channel News Asia breaking news.
The Singapore Meteorological Service confirmed that an earthquake measuring
8.2 on the Richter Scale rocked Indonesia's Sumatra island with the epicenter at
about 600 km west/northwest of Singapore.
The great quake exerted no other impact on Singapore except for the tremors,
according to the National Environment Agency.
The police advised the public to keep calm and take appropriate measures
against any potential jeopardy.
