More than 90 percent of those surveyed are not worried about bird flu in the city. The survey polled 1,000 local residents through e-mail and found that nine out of 10 were confident about the bird-flu prevention measures adopted by the city government, and 92 percent did not think the outbreak of bird flu worldwide has had a negative impact on their lives. However, in the survey conducted by Shanghai SMMAIL Administration Center, 67 percent of those interviewed said they would not eat chicken. They said they wanted to know more about preventing bird flu.
