President Hu Jintao lays a wreath at a monument to Cuban independence hero Jose Marti in Havana yesterday. Hu, who was accompanied by a large delegation of businessmen, arrived in the Cuban capital late on Monday as part of a Latin American tour. China and Cuba signed a set of trade accords, including plans to revamp Cuba's aging ports and earthquake-detection systems.
