Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo left yesterday evening for home after
winding up his official goodwill visit to Egypt, Hungary and Poland.
During the visit, Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National
People's Congress (NPC), met or held talks with the three nation's leaders,
governmental officials, and parliamentary speakers, exchanging views on the
bilateral relations, inter-parliamentary cooperation and important regional and
international issues of common concern.
He also attended a series of activities such as the China-Africa Business
Cooperation Conference and the China-Hungary business seminar in an effort to
increase mutual understanding andboost bilateral cooperation.
Wu started his three-nation tour on May 18 at the invitation of Ahmed Fathi
Sorour, speaker of the People's Assembly of Egypt, Szili Katalin, speaker of the
National Assembly of Hungary, and Ludwik Dorn, speaker of the house of
representatives of Polish National Assembly respectively.
