Foreign security guards escorting a convoy of sport utility vehicles (SUV)
opened fire on a civilian car and killed two women in central Baghdad yesterday,
an Interior Ministry source said.
"Foreign security guards of a convoy of four SUVs shot dead in the afternoon
two women in a car near the Masbah Intersection in Karradah neighborhood," the
source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The source could not immediately identify the nationality of the security
firm.
The incident came two days after the Iraqi government threatened to punish
service members of a U.S.-based security firm, Blackwater, for allegedly
deliberate killing of 17 Iraqis in the Nusour Square in western
Baghdad.
