Affordable, convenient housing for relocated residents

A batch of affordable housing projects reserved for local
residents relocated due to urban construction are expected to be complete by the
end of the year, with an average price of 3,000 yuan (US$361.4) per square
meter, the Labor Post reported today.
Some 70-80 percent of the units
will have two bedrooms and a sitting room, with a total floor space of 70 square
meters. Units with one bedroom and a sitting room, with 45 square meters of
total floor space, will account for 15-20 percent, and 90-square-meter units
with three bedrooms and a living room will account for 5-10
percent.
According to the regulations, housing projects for relocated
residents, which must cover at least 50,000 square meters, should be located
near the city's rail transportation lines with convenient access to
services.
All the projects will go through quality inspection at the same
time, said an industry analyst.
Construction of the six such projects
launched last year is now in full swing, the analyst
said.
