Property trade fair features middle-income homes

Properties priced to satisfy the demands of middle-income home buyers at
between 4,500 and 6,000 yuan (US$542-US$723) per square meter will be offered at
the 15th China Shanghai Property Trade Fair, the Labor Post reported
today.
More than 100 housing projects will be exhibited at the fair in the
Shanghai Exhibition Center from June 17 to 20, with a total exhibition space of
20,000 square meters. There are two exhibition halls specifically for properties
in Songjiang and Minhang District, with some priced at below 6,000 yuan per
square meter.
Housing sales in Songjiang District reached 100 percent last
year, and hit 80 percent in the first four months of this year.
Besides
standard properties, mid and high-end villas will also be offered for these home
buyers.
At the same time, the 14th China Shanghai Building Material and
Interior Decoration Exhibition, sponsored by the Shanghai Building Material
Industry Association, will also be held for local
citizens.
