The World Real Estate Academy yesterday published the names of 30 candidates
vying to become China's top 10 super luxury properties contest, the Beijing
Morning Post reported.
The contest, which was jointly launched by the real
estate researcher, www.re.icxo.com, and the World Executive weekly, has
attracted nationwide attention with its high price standard, set at around 30
million yuan (US$36 million). Sixteen of the candidate properties are
priced above that level.
Shanghai leads the list with 12 villas; Beijing
follows with eight. Shenzhen has three projects and Guangzhou has two.
The final result of the contest is yet unknown, but real estate experts
point out that price is only one of the standards. Other considerations will
include safety, privacy, convenience and the rarity of the property.
