Surrounded by quiet but modern saloons, colorful Huai Hai Rd, Taiping Bridge green spaces and a convenient transportation network, the Xintiandi housing area is becoming a new hot place to stay for both foreigners and those from outside the city, the Shanghai Evening Post reported yesterday.
Settlers here are mainly from Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  Many of them are new to Shanghai, according to the newly opened Zhongyuan Real Estate agency; they think it is a good place both for residence and investment.
