CAS leapfrogging for 4G

With the estalishment of the Mobile Communication Research Center(MCR) in Pudong New Area, China Academy of Science(CAS) set the pace for the research and development of the 4G wireless technology. Jie Fang Daily reported today
The 4G multimedia architecture has been dubbed "MOTO-Media," and is designed to enable high-performance streaming of multimedia content to mobile users based on agent technology, optimal use of network resources and scalable media coding methods.
While most companies are now focusing on 3G wireless technology, MCR are delving into the 4G realm of mobile phone position systems. The center aimed at developing the terminal technique in 2.5G, 3G and 4G field.
