China Telecom, Legend join for broadband

China Telecommunications Corp, the country's largest telecom operator,
and Legend Group, a leading information technology company, signed a strategic
cooperation agreement yesterday to develop new data information terminals, the
Eastday.com reported.
With the terminals, people can enjoy broadband-based
programs as of TV and music on their TV sets.
Upbeat about the partnership,
market analysts describe it as a win-win deal, because it will help people
unfamiliar with computer to enjoy China Telecom's Internet services as well as
aid Legend to expand its products from terminals to the telecom operation
area.
