18/3/2004 15:20
The Datang Telecom Technology and Industry Group announced yesterday that
it has won the bid to supply telecom equipment and services to China United
Telecommunications Corp. for their third-stage CDMA network expansion. The
contract with China Unicom's Shaanxi Province, Datang’s third contract with China
Unicom, is valued at 118 million yuan (US$14 million), The Beijing News reported
today.
Because of the weak market, however, Datang indicated they will
probably report a loss for the previous year.
