China's first nation-wide public auction for second-hand automobiles from
Shanghai and Beijing is set for Sunday, when bidders from 20 cities nationwide,
including Harbin, Shenyang, Changchun, Dalian, Handan, Shijiazhuang and Xiamen,
will be able to register their bids on the website www.2sc.com.cn, Eastday.com
reported.
"This online auction, a pilot program on a trial basis, is a result
of the country's fast developing auto market," said Wang Yufeng, senior official
with auction organizer Beijing Zhonggu Automobile Auction Co Ltd.
He added
that on June 6, 40 Shanghai-licensed trucks will be added to the other six
vehicles from Beijing for the auction.
