China's first nation-wide public auction for second-hand automobiles from Shanghai and Beijing is set for Sunday, when bidders from 20 cities nationwide, including Harbin, Shenyang, Changchun, Dalian, Handan, Shijiazhuang and Xiamen, will be able to register their bids on the website www.2sc.com.cn, Eastday.com reported.
"This online auction, a pilot program on a trial basis, is a result of the country's fast developing auto market," said Wang Yufeng, senior official with auction organizer Beijing Zhonggu Automobile Auction Co Ltd.
He added that on June 6, 40 Shanghai-licensed trucks will be added to the other six vehicles from Beijing for the auction.
