The Dazhong Taxi Service Company will begin training courses on manners and
language for its cab drivers and managers from each branch office, reported
today's Oriental Morning Post.
The six-month training course asks that their
over 17 000 cab drivers master the six service phrases in Mandarin, English and
Japanese: "Hello"; "Please fasten your seat belt"; "Would you like to pay by
cash or by credit card?"; "Thank you"; "Please double check for your
belongings"; and "Goodbye."
To make learning easier and more convenient for
the drivers, the Company also provides CDs and small dialogue cards
corresponding to the training course.
On completion of this course, drivers
will take part in another one on topic dialogues about scenes of local interest,
bus or railway stations, and
airports.
