The 12th Auto Shanghai, also known as the International Automotive Industry Exhibition, is scheduled to be held in April next year. The focus will be set on providing a high quality exhibition so it will become more influential worldwide, said Chen Xianjin, President of the Shanghai World Expo Group Co., Ltd yesterday.
The auto show, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, will boast an exhibition space of more than 140,000 square meters.
Presidents from all the global auto giants will be invited to the city next April, with a growing number of luxury cars available to debut at the show.
The exhibition, established in 1985, is the earliest professional international auto show in China and also the only one in the country to be certified by the UFI (Union of International Fairs).
The 11th Auto Shanghai was held last April, with an exhibition space of 120,000 square meters, which attracted 1,036 companies from 26 countries and areas and more than 390,000 visitors from 113 countries and areas.
