Honda Fitsaloon hits the domestic market

The Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co Ltd introduced its Fitsaloon model
on the domestic market yesterday after the compact model rolled off the line on
September 16, eastday.com reported today.
The 1.3L MT Fitsaloon model is
priced at less than 100,000 yuan (US$12,000) nationwide.
The Fitsaloon model
has received warm market reaction after hitting the market, with more than
10,000 models booked for sale to date, according to Honda's dealerships.
A
total of 16,000 Fitsaloon cars are planned to be manufactured and sold this
year.
The Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co Ltd will modify production to reach a
goal of daily and yearly outputs of 1,000 and 240,000 respectively by the early
2004.
The Fitsaloon outputs will account for a major part of Honda's
production and sales plan next year.
