Sales of Buick Excelle sedans booming

Shanghai General Motors reported sales of 7,580 Buick Excelle sedans in
the first month since the new lower-medium sedan hit the domestic market at the
end of August, reaching a record high, according to Shanghai GM yesterday, the
Youth Post reported today.
Strong market demand and expanding capacity has
boosted the sales of Buick Excelle, said an industry analyst.
Shanghai GM, a
50-50 joint venture of GM and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp, registered
sales of 24,760 Buick series sedans in September, second among domestic car
manufacturers last month.
The auto giant will take a lead nationwide to keep
manufacturing 24 hours a day, on a three-shift basis, in a bid to satisfy the
growing market demand and ease supply shortage.
