Han met with GM Chairman

Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng met with visiting General Motors Chairman and CEO
Rick Wagnor yesterday.
At the meeting Han told Wagnor Shanghai will
establish the automobile industry as one of its economy pillar. "We hope the
local engineers will work with their counterparts GM to development more
power-saving and environment-friendly autos," Han said.
Wagnor introduce
to Han GM's investment plan in Shanghai and its newly lauched car models. The
world's biggest automaker will move its Asia-Pacific headquarters from Singapore
to Shanghai by January, 2005.
