Polo: The most popular family car

The Volkswagen
Polo was awarded the best family car for Shanghai residents at the 2004 China
(Shanghai) International Family & Business Vehicle Expo which ended two days
ago, the Laodong Daily reported today.
Shanghai General Motors Sail sedan is
the second most popular family vehicle, losing only eight percent of the votes
on the Polo.
Shanghai GM's Buick Regal overtook the VW's Passat and was
awarded the top prize.
The four-day expo, Shanghai's only international car
exhibition this year, has attracted more than 100,000 visitors.
The local
car market has great potential despite a recent slump in sales said an industry
analyst, adding that consumers are more discerning in their purchase of cars
these days.
Exclusive designs such as Buick Excelle, VW Touran, Gol SUV and
the Toyota Corolla were a hit at the expo..
