This year's graduates from Shanghai's leading business school, the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), have managed to find jobs with an average annual salary of 300,000 yuan (US$37,129), a record high, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
The 126 students participated in the graduation ceremony on Saturday after two year's study for the Master of Business Administration program. Each received an average of six job offers, with the highest pay on offer being 800,000 yuan a year, eight-times the salary obtainable before study at CEIBS, the Shanghai Morning Post report said.
Market analysts regarded the salary rise as a result of the school's improvment in the quality of education as well as an indication of a recovery in the market for MBA graduates, according to the report.
