The city government should create a favorable environment to help university
graduates find jobs, Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng said at a seminar yesterday
afternoon.
Before the seminar, Mayor Han and other government leaders visited
the Shanghai Career Guidance Center for Graduates and took note of the existing
employment situation for local university graduates.
The online information
platform of the center (www.firstjob.com.cn), has offered employment services
for more than 500,000 university graduates since 2001, with 15,000 daily visits
and 750,000 hits.
The city government should focus on the new problems
facing university graduates and help them solve the problems, Han said.
