More out-of-town students find jobs
27/2/2003 16:02
The number of out-of-town graduating students who have found jobs to
date exceeds that of locals, according to a survey of this year's graduating
students in the city, the Shanghai Morning Post reported today.
The peak
job-hunting period for graduating students is coming up, said the spokesman with
the Shanghai Educational Commission.
Many out-of-towners have already
signed labor contract with employers, but locals tend to have higher
expectations and don't commit themselves until the last minute, the spokesman
said.
Local graduating students may miss their chance if they don't seize
opportunities that come along, the spokesman
suggested.
