Taiwan managers worried about their future

Some 30 percent of secondary and senior supervisors in Taiwan
enterprises are worried about their future, with 34 percent not sleeping well,
49 percent easily feeling tired and 77 percent often worried about their health,
according to Global Views, a Taiwan magazine.
Of these managers, some 81
percent are worried about the business environment in Taiwan, nearly 31 percent
think their work has no bright future and 21 percent feel their life is
hopeless.
According to the survey, 45 percent of secondary and senior
supervisors in Taiwan are afraid of losing their jobs.
Nearly 71 percent
of the supervisors have the same career goals as before, 37 percent work longer
hours than before and 59 percent think it is harder to meet the requirements of
their boss than before.
Some 48 percent think their company's
competitiveness is declining, the survey indicated.
The worsening
business environment in Taiwan worries nearly 45 percent of the group, whose
living conditions would be affected by more than one year of unemployment,
according to the survey.
