Shanghai suspends job fairs
25/4/2003 16:05
Starting today, Shanghai has suspended all types of job fairs to
prevent the spread of SARS, according to a circular released by the Shanghai
Personnel Bureau yesterday.
Employers and job agencies can release job
recruitment information via Internet, newspapers and magazines to provide
flexible, safe and efficient services for job hunters, the circular
states.
Job agencies that are approved to set up permanent job fairs are
allowed to release job recruitment information at their usual location, as long
as effective sanitation and preventive measures are ensured, according to the
circular.
Human resources exchange service centers affiliated with the
Shanghai Municipal Government are allowed to conduct public human resource
service activities as usual, such as employment training and review, but must
control the flow of people and ensure that public facilities are well ventilated
and disinfected, the circular indicated.
