23/6/2003 16:08

Seventy percent of people were taking a more cautious attitude towards job-hopping last month due to the SARS outbreak, according to a survey by a leading domestic job recruitment website - www.zhaopin.com, the Youth Post reported today.

The survey mainly targeted workers in tourism, pharmaceutical, foreign trade, environmental protection and restaurant & entertainment sectors, including 30 percent graduating university students and five percent senior managers.

According to the survey, 70 percent of job-hunters were afraid of losing their jobs from May to June although SARS is subsiding around the nation.

Only 22 percent of interviewees thought that their jobs were not affected by SARS, with 16 percent planning to change jobs, according to the survey.

Employees should master various kinds of skills through training to improve their competitiveness in the labor market, said a survey analyst.
