Graduating university students in Shanghai will be able to hunt for jobs via the Internet this year instead of crowding into the large job fairs every year, the Shanghai Morning Post reported today.
Major job fairs for local graduating university students will be called off this year, while more such job recruitment will he conducted through the Internet.
"It is an inevitable trend for graduating university students to seek jobs online, as large job fairs held every year have not been satisfactory," said the spokesman with the Shanghai Career Guidance Center for Graduates.
A local job information website for graduating university students - www.firstjob.com.cn - kicked off an online job fair last year, and students can now seek suitable positions online.
Starting November 20, job recruitment information will be released on the website, and the information of local graduating university students will adopt a uniform format.
Students can register, amend and release their personal resumes and search for the latest job information on the website.
On the other hand, employers can search and view students' resumes on the website and send emails for interviews.
